Our story
Thirty years on Leesburg Pike.
A family-run deli and homemade ice-cream shop that started as a scoop counter in 1996 and grew into the all-day neighborhood spot Falls Church knows today.
Hi, we're Mike's.
We started in 1996 as Lazy Sundae — just a little ice cream counter making everything by hand in the back. Two years in, we added a full-service deli with a few old-school New York recipes, and started serving breakfast all day because that's when people wanted it.
Thirty years later, not much has changed. We still churn our own ice cream. We still cure our corned beef. The Reuben still looks like the Reuben. And yeah — we're still a little lazy about it. That's kind of the whole idea.
Come say hi.
A short timeline.
1996
Lazy Sundae opens. Homemade ice cream, a few tables, a walk-up window.
1998
The deli arrives. A full deli launches inside. Corned beef, pastrami, subs.
2005
Breakfast all day. Because why not.
2018
Move to 7049 Leesburg Pike. Same food, more parking, easier to find.
Today
Still family-run. Still open 8 to 8. Still scooping.
